The 1% Rule 

How anyone can be just 1% better today than they were yesterday. 

The one percent rule is simple, ask yourself the question. 

What do I need to do to be just 1% better today than I was yesterday?

being 1% better every single day is the staple of slow and mindful growth within your life, if you commit to the one percent rule you'll see gradual improvement that will lead to exponential growth lone-term.  

It's important, however, to remember that "better" is different for the individual. 

So how do I define what "Better" means to me? 

Because better is different for everyone, it can be hard to figure out just what better means to you. So spend some time thinking and try to keep this definition in terms of your character and habits. 

These can be things such as being more positive, being a more effective communicator, being a better friend, being more flexible, being kinder, or being more organized. etc. 

The point is that these are goals that you want to be not just things you do.

Once you have your goals you can start thinking of actions you can take to turn these goals into reality, remember that nothing is going to happen overnight, it's just about small actions that build up over time. 

Say for example my goal was to be more positive: some of the actions I could take care


Once you have your goals remember to be easy on yourself, your not gonna be perfect everytime you dont stick to your goals, just be aware of how you "messed up" and try to do better next time. 

After a while

Every once in a while its a good idea to check back in on your goals, make sure they still fit who you want to be, and consider making new goals. Write these down and keep them in the back of your head all the time.  

If you feel a goal isnt suiting you, drop it

If you think you dont have the right goals in mind, thats okay, readjust and make new ones. One step at a time:)

The longer you practice the 1% rule the more improvement you'll see. exponential growth!!
